Global corporations like the GAP and Nike make billions of pounds in profit year after year yet they pay their workers in places like Cambodia, China and Indonesia starvation wages.
They force them to work up to 100 hours a week. Women workers get little or no maternity pay and face sexual harassment. Children as young as 11 work in the factories. Workers are forced to use dangerous materials without protection.
In Saipan garment companies like Gap use indentured labour and force workers to sign away their human rights.
When the workers try to unionise and organise against this exploitation, these companies use mass sackings or even the police and military to break strikes and get rid of unions.

| From the streets of Seattle, to Genoa and Evian. From the huge anti war movement that shook the globe to the revolutionary up surge we have seen in Argentina and Bolivia. Everywhere we, the youth, have been at the fighting end of the anti capitalist movement. Our actions have shown the way forward. Despite this, we do not have our own mass organisation. We desperately need one. We need to form an anti capitalist youth international.

Our so called Socialist Prime Minister has inflicted a massive defeat on students with his victory over top up fees in Parliament. This was not a socialist measure by a compassionate man. It was an attack by a neo liberal war monger on the right to free education. It is another step along the road to a total free market in education.
